Welcome to Hayloft Publishing, based near Kirkby Stephen, on the borders of Cumbria, Yorkshire and Durham. The office is seven miles from Kirkby Stephen, four miles from Brough and thirteen from Barnard Castle.
Hayloft publishes local, national and international books on mountaineering, countryside, history, farming, walking and military. Since the company was founded it has published more than 125 titles and has sold over 50,000 books. Founder and director, Dawn Robertson, has this year been made an associate member of the Alpine Club for services to mountain literature.
Several Hayloft books have been short-listed for the Lakeland Book of the Year Awards and five books went on to win awards: Lakeland in the 1830s, Walking on Bridges, 104 Men, Stone Circles of Cumbria and Hoofprints in Eden.
